Lisa Olivia Munn is a born and raised in Oklahoma City. Kimberly Schmid was born in Vietnam and also has Chinese roots, but her dad Winston Barrett Munn comes from a Southern family. Her parents divorced when she was just the age of two. Her mother raised her along with her stepfather, who is an United States Air Force officer. Even though the family moved out of Oklahoma and stayed in various places, she was brought up in Tokyo, Japan. It was where she appeared in theatre productions during this period and became a fashion actress for Japanese industry. After the family returned to the United States, Olivia moved to Los Angeles to pursue her aspirations of becoming a professional actress. Olivia's professional career started to take off after a couple of tiny parts. The role she landed was that of Mily in the Hawaii-lensed series Beyond the Break (2005) and the receptionist role in the film Big Stan starring Rob Schneider in Big Stan (2006). She is the host of "The Daily Nut" and"Formula D," the "Formula D" Podcasts on G4. It is her favorite pastime and she has been practicing since her TV show Beyond the Break (2006). Additionally, she holds a black belt in taekwondo. The woman she married was her mother when she was only two years old to an Air Force officer. Though the family relocating many times, she was primarily raised in Tokyo, Japan, where the military stationed her stepfather. The university she attended was her at University of Oklahoma where she was a journalist with minors of Japanese and drama art.
