Lita Rossana Ford (or Lita Ford as she is popularly known as, was an American-born British musician and vocalist who led the women-only hard-rock group The Runaways during the late 1970s. The band was not able to make a significant impact on the scene in their home country of the United States but earned huge popularity overseas especially in Japan. Ford launched a solo heavy-metal career after the disbandment of her band in 1979. After taking vocal lessons she launched her debut solo album, 'Out for Blood'. This was followed by the release of 'Dancin"On The Edge'. Ford disappeared from rock for a few years following her albums didn't become popular. The hit album "Lita" was made available by Ford in the year 1988. the single 'Kiss me Deadly' and the ballad 'Close My Eyes Forever' both became huge hit songs. The success of her was not long-lasting and, for a few years after, she went under the radar. In 1995 she debuted "Black" and fifteen years later , 'Wicked Wonderland. "Time Capsule," her debut album "Time Capsule" was released by her in 2016. Guitar Player Magazine gave her The Certified Guitar Legend Award.
